August 2000 Praise Report
The wind of the Holy Spirit took me to Tampa, Florida USA , the Sunshine State, for two weeks in August. At midnight on August 5th, Rev. Ralph and Susan McIntosh met me at the airport in Tampa. The McIntoshes head ACTS Foundation, Inc. They and Dr. and Mrs. James Gills of Tarpon Springs invited me to Florida to speak and minister for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
By the time I arrived in Tampa, it had been twenty-four hours exactly since I began my journey. Greg Lewis hosted us for a couple of days. On that first Sunday afternoon, friends of Greg's gathered in his home. There were twenty in all, but we knew each was drawn together for a Divine appointment.
The next twelve days sped by quickly in fellowship and ministry, beginning with a visit with a business man, Spirit-filled brother in Christ, Tom Welch, on Monday, August 7th. From his office the McIntoshes and I went on to Dr. and Mrs. Gills' home on the Gulf of Mexico, which became our residence for the rest of my stay. Dr. Gills is a world recognized eye surgeon and a profound Christian author. He and his wife, Heather, serve the Lord faithfully.
The evening of August 8th, I was invited to minister in the home of Miles and Dorothy Shaw. The Holy Spirit worked in many hearts that evening including in the life of a Jewish lady who is longing to know and understand her Messiah.
There were many more opportunities to minister, including at a home group hosted by my sister-in-Christ, Maria Massaro. We had a wonderful time studying God's Word together. I was blessed to pray over many of her friends that evening and the reports continue to come back. Praise the Lord.
Two evenings I ministered at St. Luke's Eye Clinic and the Holy Spirit was present with us.
The second Sunday I was in Florida, was very busy. We began to morning in Pastor Steven Wyns' beautiful church. He is a grandson of well-loved, Derek Prince. Steven is a mightily anointed man of God and led a wonderful time of worship. After a fine noon meal of food and fellowship, we met with Father Kalamaris and his wife, along with a few of his parish leaders. He invited me to return on Tuesday evening, August 15, and minister to his congregation. In the evening we were at an equally wonderful church which is pastored by Rev. Michael and Sandi Salas. This congregation is mostly Puerto Rican so the service is all in Spanish. Pastor Mike translated for me and we were one in the Spirit.
On Wednesday evening, August 16, I was asked to lead a healing service at the First United Methodist Church of Tarpon Springs, pastored by Rev. Herb Lange.
The Lord very graciously poured His blessings down during my visit in Florida. I thank the Lord for His magnificent vessels, Rev. Ralph and Susan McIntosh of ACTS Foundation, Inc. , for being used of Him to arrange the ministry tour for me. May He richly reward them. Also, my appreciation to Dr. and Mrs. James Gills for inviting us and hosting the three of us.
His Servant, Dr. William Isaacs-Sodeye.
